At First Baptist Church of Asheville, we believe that authentic community is essential to our spiritual journey.

Connection Groups are a great way to meet new friends, to grow in your relationship with God, to have fun, and to make a difference. Everyone is welcome to participate in a connection group, whether a member, a friend of First Baptist from another church, or folks who are simply interested in a topic or event being offered.

Faith Groups: Growing in Faith

Faith groups provide a way of meeting people where they are on their faith journey. These groups are open to anyone, whether a member or not, and are filled with meaningful opportunities for Bible study, personal growth, deepening your faith, and connecting with others.

Reach Groups: Making a Difference

Reach groups are made of folks coming together around a certain mission project or trip.

Interest Groups: Connecting Through Play and Common Interests

Most of us don't spend enough time playing. Interest Groups are an easy way to meet new people and have fun together. Groups may include going to a movie together, playing softball, knitting, playing putt putt, or other interests.
