Getting Connected

"Christianity means community through Jesus Christ and in Jesus Christ.  No Christian community is more or less than this.  Whether it be a brief, single encounter or the daily fellowship of years, Christian community is only this.  We belong to one another only through and in Jesus Christ."

~ Dietrich Bonhoeffer in Life Together

Getting connected to the church doesn't happen all at once.  Maybe you've never been to church before, and it's all a bit out of your comfort zone.  You haven't made up your mind what you think about the church, or maybe even God.  It is easy to be one of the crowd and just observe.  Or maybe you're visiting several churches, trying to figure out where you belong. Maybe you'd like to know more about our Bible study groups, youth or children's programs, or what we believe.  Maybe you've been attending for a while now and want to move from experiencing the church as a large group to experiencing it as a community.  You'd like to learn about how to deepen your faith through Bible study and get connected to a group of deep-spirited friends.

Here at First Baptist of Asheville, we have many opportunities available for you to meet those needs.  There's no rush, and you're free to get involved in as much or as little as you need.

Connecting with the church is really about a journey with Christ.
