Sundays - 9:
35-10:45 a.m. - Children's Building

Kidz Connect - 9:35-9:50 a.m. - CB310

Kidz Connect is our fellowship time for children every Sunday morning. We meet in the Children’s Library (CB310) for snacks. We catch up with each other, talk about things we need to know about at church, and prepare for our time of learning together in FaithQuest.

FaithQuest - 9:50-10:45 a.m. - Grades 1-4 - 3rd Floor Children's Building

A different way for children to learn about faith—that’s what FaithQuest is designed to do. FaithQuest is a rotation model that makes use of child-friendly learning methods and environments that promote involvement, discovery, and creativity for children’s Bible Study.

December 21 • The Jesus Gift: Love
December 28
• Christmas Celebration

January 11 – February 15 • Friendship: David and Jonathan
Friendship is one of God’s best gifts. We all need friends who are loyal to one another. We respond to God’s love by being faithful friends. During this Bible study rotation, we will explore the friendship between David and Jonathan found in 1 Samuel 18. Through creativity, storytelling, and active learning, children will discover the ways in which God calls them to develop good friendships wherever they may be—in church, in school, in extra-curricular activities.

February 22 – March 29 • Pathways to God: An Inward and Outward Journey
During this rotation, children will explore creative ways to pray, including walking a labyrinth, observing silence, praying with color. They will discover that prayer helps us deepen our relationship with God and helps us to become more compassionate, loving, and peaceful.

Finding Treasures in Worship
For children (and maybe adults), it isn’t always easy to keep up with everything that happens in worship services. Children are seeing and experiencing new things each week in worship. Finding Treasures in Worship is designed to help children not only focus on what’s happening, but help them learn to engage in worship. Each week the children receive a sheet with information about the worship service. There are questions to answer, words to find, scripture and music to focus on, and space to draw and write about things they see and hear in worship. Encourage your children to use these in worship. Find time to talk together as a family each week about what you all experienced in worship.

Worship Bags
For children of all ages, there are worship bags located in baskets outside each entrance to the sanctuary, which can be used during worship. In them, you will find note pads, crayons/colored pencils, worship information sheets for preschoolers, and other materials kids can use during worship. Encourage children to use these as part of learning about worship, rather than a distraction from worship. Children learn by doing, so being a part of worship each week is how they learn what it means to worship God and be in community with others.

CenterPeace for Children • Wednesdays, 5:30-7:00 p.m.

Our Wednesday evening music, worship, and faith development activities are for children from ages 3 through 6th grade. Have supper in the Dining Room, then join us for a time of singing, storytelling, and sharing God’s love with others in word and deed.

December 17 • Advent Lovefeast (Children participating in the service will meet for rehearsal in the Dining Room at 4:45 p.m.)
December 24
• Christmas Eve Worship: 6:00 p.m. (Sanctuary) and 9:00 p.m. (Chapel)
December 31
• No Wednesday Evening Activities
January 7
• CenterPeace Resumes - Epiphany Party
January 14 – February 11 • Acts of Love: Do Justice, Love Mercy, and Walk Humbly with God

February 18 • Ash Wednesday Worship
Children will attend choir at 5:30 p.m. and will be brought into the sanctuary for the Ash Wednesday service. In spite of their interest in the ashes, for children Ash Wednesday is mainly the beginning of Lent. Lent is spring training for disciples. We begin the season admitting to ourselves and others that we are not perfect and are grateful that God loves and forgives us anyway. So we commit to doing better and that happens best in a community of faith.
