Rev. T. David Blackmon, Jr. Coordinating Pastor David came to FBCA in April 2009 as coordinating pastor. He holds a Bachelor's of Science in Education from the University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia, a Master of Divinity from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas, residency in Clinical Pastoral Education from Athens Regional Medical Center, Athens, Georgia and a Master in Health Administration from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Rev. Tommy Bratton, Jr. Minister of Christian Formation Tommy Bratton came to FBCA in December 2004. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Furman University in Religion and a Master's of Theological Studies from Candler School of Theology at Emory University focusing in Christian education and ethics. Rev. Leah Brown Minister of Senior Adults Leah joined the ministerial staff FBCA in October, 2008. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from UNC-Asheville and a Masters of Social Work degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. Leah offers guidance to our Senior Adult Ministry.

Miss Jennifer Lee Minister with Students Jenny joined the ministerial staff of FBCA in May 2010. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC. She is currently pursuing her Master of Divinity at Campbell University Divinity School. Jenny offers leadership to the Youth, Recreation, and Scholarship Committees.

Rev. Eddie Morgan Minister of Missions, Outreach and Pastoral Care Eddie Morgan joined the FBCA staff in 1983. He holds a BA in Religious Education from Furman University, a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Master of Social Work from UNC-Chapel Hill. Eddie offers leadership to our counseling ministry and to young adult ministry. He also works with the Nominating and Scholarship committees.

Dr. Guy Sayles Pastor Guy Sayles has served as pastor of FBCA since the fall of 2001. He has degrees from Georgia Southern University (B.A., History), Southern Seminary (M.Div) and Candler School of Theology of Emory University (D.Min). His work focuses on leading the church to discern and pursue its mission, preaching, teaching and providing pastoral care.

Rev. Clark Sorrells Minister of Music Clark Sorrells joined the FBCA staff in 1997. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Carson Newman College and a Master of Divinity in Church Music from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Clark offers leadership to the music ministry for all ages, worship planning, and the following committees: Music, Worship Arts, Baptism and Lord's Supper.

Rev. Karen Sorrells Associate Minister of Music Karen joined the FBCA staff in 2002. She received a BA in Music from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Masters of Church Music from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, and Kodaly Certification from the Kodaly Institute of Texas at the University of North Texas in Denton. Karen offers leadership to all ages in the Music Ministry.
