Children are one of God's most precious gifts to us. We value them! We love their questions, their challenging and critical thinking, their creativity, and their useful gifts in our family of faith. Children are a priority at First Baptist, just as they were to Christ. The Preschool and Children's ministry views each child as important and a contributing member of the congregation. The value of each child is stressed and children are nurtured with love in the Christian faith laying the foundation for them to follow Jesus throughout their lives.

The mission of the Children's Ministry of First Baptist Church is to partner with parents to cultivate the spiritual growth of their family. We provide opportunities for faith development through worship, Christian formation, and fellowship among our children and their families. As we consider each child, issues they face in these changing times, and realities they must conquer, we believe it is our responsibility to offer them the building blocks that form and inform our faith.

Our goal is for children to learn about God's love in a safe, secure and loving environment. We want children to know that they are loved unconditionally by God and that they should share that love with everyone, even those who seem unloving or unlovely. Adult volunteers minister the love of God through example and by teaching Christian principles to our children.
