Bible Study - Sundays @ 9:45 a.m. 7th-12th grades use a Bible-based curriculum that includes creative styles and methods
Snack Supper - Sundays @ 6:00 p.m. Koinonia - Sundays, 6-7:30 p.m. All youth meet together for an interest/need oriented study and examination of daily issues and how the Bible speaks to them. Koinonia provides an opportunity for fellowship, refreshments, and recreation. |

CAT (Creative Arts Training) - Wednesdays @ 6:00pm
This creative learning hour provides a variety of courses during a six-to-eight week period. CAT offerings include drama, guitar, puppets, creative movement, signing, and video. Each year the youth creative arts groups provide leadership for two Wednesday night worship experiences, as well as involvement in local mission projects and mission trips.

Mission Trips
Mission projects and experiences are planned throughout the year through Koinonia, Bible Study and Creative Arts Training. During the summer, a week-long mission trip is carried out by the youth. In past summers the mission trips have been to Miami, Florida, Atlanta, Georgia, Gulf Coast Hurricane Relief, FirstShine (a camp for special needs children) at Warren Wilson College, and the Baptist World Alliance Youth Conference in Leipzig, Germany.

Retreats
Retreats are weekend events designed around specific topics or needs. Fall and Spring retreats are planned for all youth. Fall Retreat to Awanita - November 7-9 - Sign up with $95 by October 12 Spring Retreat to Caswell - May 22-25, 2009 - Sign up with $125 by April 19
Summer Camps A camp experience is very important to young people. Passport is a week-long camp of missions, Bible study, and fellowship with youth from across the country. All Youth Passport 2009 - July 3-11, 2009 - $75 deposit due October 15 ($350 total) |

Youth Choirs- Sundays @ 5:00pm First Baptist has two Youth Choirs, one for 7th-9th graders and another for 10th-12th graders. The choirs sing regularly in the worship and concert life of the church. The choirs' activities also include multi-state tours and fully-staged musicals.
Youth Handbells - (Youth 2) Sundays @ 4:00 p.m. (Youth 1) Wednesdays @ 5:00 p.m. Two Youth Handbell Choirs ring five octaves of handbells and three octaves of choir chimes. These groups ring regularly in the church's worship and concert life, appear at state and regional festivals, and accompany the Youth Choirs on summer tours. |
